The OECD works closely with African governments, regional organisations and private actors to help them design and implement innovative policies adapted to each context, and improve the economic and social well-being of African people. The OECD supports the implementation of the African Union’s strategic vision by co-producing cutting-edge data and analysis at continental, regional, national and local levels and facilitates an open dialogue on policies to accelerate that transformation. The OECD hosts the international Economic Forum on Africa where African and OECD policy makers, investors, academics, civil society and international organisations share their views, and discuss how better policies can improve development outcomes for African. The OECD also supports the implementation of the G20 Compact with Africa as a partner institution. It also has an Africa Advisory Group that focus on domestic resource mobilisation and tax. The OECD also has an Africa Initiative that is aimed at helping unlock the potential for tax transparency and exchange of information in Africa. The initiative also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals on domestic resource mobilization (DRM) and enhance African countries ability to fight against IFFs. The OECD has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) for improving tax systems in Africa. GLAFAD will target the OECD to influence its policies that are targeted towards Africa and ensure that the interventions of the OECD results in positive development outcomes.
