The African development bank group (AfDB) produces an Annual Development Effectiveness Review (ADER) that provides an overview of Africa’s development and assesses the contribution the African Development Bank. The bank has High 5 priorities namely, Feed Africa, Light Up and Power Africa, Industrialise Africa, Integrate Africa, and Improve the Quality of Life for the People of Africa. It has a long-term strategy of promoting inclusive and green growth. The overarching objective of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group is to spur sustainable economic development and social progress in its regional member countries (RMCs) thus contributing to poverty reduction by mobilizing and allocating resources for investment in RMCs; and providing policy advice and technical assistance to support development efforts. The bank is also pushing towards the realisation of Agenda 2063 as prescribed by the African union. The bank meets with CSOs at its annual meetings every year. The bank lending was about $5 billion to Africa in 2017 and continues to lend African countries. GLAFAD will ensure that the projects prioritized by the AfDB are having the desired developmental impact.
